The program

Our highly effective coaching program for couples in the aftermath of infidelity looking to heal and regain trust.

When it comes to having fun in relationships, couples often think the way to go about this is to have one-on-one date nights. The romantic dinner, the candles, the heart-to-heart talks over a glass of wine… The serious atmosphere as you both work to get more connected can set the tone for the evening. You both are working hard for the relationship, and your relationship takes work and effort to get closer. In fact, this can create a feeling of obligation, rather than having fun. Making your relationship all work and no play can leave you feeling even more disconnected.

Deeper conversations are indeed an integral part of a relationship and are often needed to ensure both partners feel heard and understood. However, don’t forget that there are other ways of connecting that are more light-hearted and fun. Relationships require work but also need to be nurtured and celebrated. Having some play and joy in your relationship will make it more vibrant and alive.Shows a couple ice skating and the woman fell. Just Have Fun

When you think of having fun with your partner, think of something that necessarily doesn’t have to do with eye-to-eye conversations. Something that will be an experience you can share. A party, a concert, or even going on a trip together could be the perfect way to unwind and enjoy each other’s presence but doesn’t involve a sit-down date. Allowing for bonding and a deepening of the connection without the pressure to talk. Creating an atmosphere of fun and trust, instead of obligatory honesty.

When having fun with your partner, think about doing something that is out of your comfort zone. Something you’ve never done before or an experience that could bring the two of you closer together. For example, you can be playful and pretend it’s your first date and you don’t know each other. You can roleplay and take the evening to a different level, making it truly special. Allowing for a renewed connection and reignited passion.

Have fun by doing something out of your comfort zone, you don’t have to focus on the sensual or the romantic. You can solely focus on doing something pure and fun. For example, if you’re the type of person who takes vacations in cities, why not go glamping instead? Get out of your comfort zone and explore a new experience together or, even better, with friends. It can be both refreshing and exciting. Or something you can laugh about when you look back on it.

Experience Something New Together

Experiencing something new together is perhaps the best way to celebrate your relationship. If you typically meet up with your friends for dinner, why not pick a place where you can enjoy different cuisines, dancing, and unique experiences? Switch up the routine and make it something to remember. It could be the perfect way to connect and celebrate your relationship in a special new way. Doing something different can be incredibly rewarding and bring you closer as a couple.

Also, when you experience something new together, it allows you to see each other through a different lens which will encourage novelty and excitement. For example,  if your partner has always been the one to lead and take charge of situations, you might find that when put in a new situation, they can also be creative and open-minded. Celebrating your relationship can seem like it has to be serious and meaningful, but it doesn’t have to be. You can simply enjoy the moment and create a shared experience that will stay with you for years to come. Make it fun and make it meaningful.

Relationships really don’t have to be such hard work and that doesn’t mean that we can’t allow for fun, joy, and novelty. Adding moments and opportunities to celebrate your relationship helps to deepen the connection and keep you close. Serious talks are beneficial and needed, but so are light-hearted and playful moments.
