Andrea

Moscoso

I'm a couples therapist who believes our most intimate relationships shape how we show up in every part of our lives.

Hi, I’m Andrea Moscoso, MS

As a Couples therapist and Marriage and Family Therapy Registered Intern, I support partners in moving from disconnection and conflict toward clarity, healing, and genuine connection because when our foundational relationships thrive, so can we.

What if your love story begins here?
Falling in love was the easy part—delicious, even. But building your happily ever after takes effort. Once the fairy tale fades and reality replaces what once felt ideal, the true work of love begins.

You may feel like your partner just doesn’t understand you.

No matter how you’ve tried to share what’s on your heart, you end up feeling unheard. The arguments go in circles, leaving you both drained and defeated. It’s gotten to the point where you avoid conflict altogether, hoping to keep the peace, even though it’s leaving you more disconnected.

It might feel like the emotional connection has slipped away.

On the outside, you’re functioning well, handling responsibilities, and keeping the household running. But underneath, it feels more like you’re living as roommates than as partners. Deep down, you’re longing to reconnect, to bring back that closeness, and to feel like a team in love again.

Or maybe it feels like the spark has faded.

Intimacy has become rare, and desire feels distant. Maybe you’ve even stopped having sex altogether. One of you feels rejected, while the other feels pressured, and it’s starting to take a toll on your emotional well-being.

BUT,
what if all of this can change

What if with the right expert and the right approach this moment—right now—isn’t a dead end, but a turning point?

A chance to rediscover each other

It can Be:

And your story into something new!

Conflict into understanding

Turn disconnection into closeness

Many couples I work with will tell you:

It’s not too late.
You get to be the authors of your story.

Together, we can honor where you’ve been, reconnect in the present, and build a future grounded in trust, empathy, and partnership.

This Is

How I Help Couples

In our work together, I help you and your partner slow down, tune in, and truly hear each other, maybe for the first time in a long time. We create a space that feels safe enough to say the hard things, and structured enough to help those conversations lead somewhere healing.

I will specifically help you:

No. 01

Reconnect Emotionally

I help you uncover the patterns that block closeness so you can rebuild your emotional connection. Together, we create a space where you both feel seen and valued. This allows you to move from feeling like roommates to partners who truly understand and care for each other.

No. 02

Communicate Better

I teach you how to talk and listen in ways that help you feel heard and understood. You will learn to share your feelings safely, reduce arguments, and handle conflict calmly so you can solve problems without losing your connection.

No. 03

Build Your Future

I help you create a clear vision for your relationship based on respect and emotional safety. You will learn to move from reacting in the moment to making choices that support the kind of loving, connected future you both want.

It all began when I discovered the power of connection

MY ORIGIN
STORY

I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories and what connects us. Now, as a couples therapist, I get to turn that passion into purpose.

I’ve always been passionate about understanding people and their stories. Though my path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear, it was always calling me.

I began in storytelling, studying communications, photography, and journalism. Then I spent two decades in real estate, where I learned to listen deeply and support people through pivotal life decisions. Over time, I gravitated toward more meaningful conversations about growth and purpose.

That’s when I knew it was time to answer the deeper calling and fully step into the work I love.

In 2020, I returned to school as a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student at Nova Southeastern University (Go Sharks!). I was one of the older students in my program, which only reinforced something I truly believe—it’s never too late to start something meaningful. Becoming a therapist was the right step at the right time, and I’ve never looked back.

Today, I’m a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working toward licensure. I specialize in working with couples because I believe our intimate relationships are central to our wellbeing. Supporting people through healing, growth, and reconnection isn’t just my profession—it’s my purpose.

I feel honored to walk alongside my clients during such vulnerable times, and I’m genuinely grateful to do this work every day.

I'm Andrea, relationship expert.

01

What is your approach to couples counseling?

My work with couples is rooted in the Gottman Method, helping partners manage conflict, deepen connection, and build shared meaning. I also draw from Family Systems Theory, EFT, and mindfulness tools to support emotional regulation. My goal is to create a safe space where both partners feel seen, heard, and supported.

02

What makes you an expert on relationships?

For 25 years, I’ve explored how people connect, what gets in the way, and how they heal—first as a journalist, realtor, and coach, and now as a therapist. I’ve learned from gifted mentors and, most profoundly, from my clients, whose stories continue to teach me what it truly means to love and be loved.

03

What happens in the first session?

Our first session is about getting to know you, not just the challenges but who you are and the relationship you’ve built. We’ll explore your history, strengths, painful patterns, and hopes for change. It’s a time to be curious together about what’s working, what’s stuck, and how we can help your relationship thrive.

04

Do you only work with couples, or do you also see individuals?

While I specialize in couples therapy, I also work with adult individuals. Many of the same tools that help couples, such as those for communication, emotional insight, and connection, can support individuals in growing self-awareness, improving emotional health, and gaining clarity in their relationships.

05

Do you always see both partners together in couples therapy?

In most cases, yes, I work with both partners together, as lasting change happens best through collaboration. At times, I may see one partner individually, depending on the situation and goals. As Esther Perel says, “It takes two people to create a pattern, but it can take just one to break it.” I tailor the process to each couple.

If you’re here, it means something in you still believes in your relationship. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to help you find clarity, rebuild trust, and move forward together.
